--What's at the Market this week?
--Recipe - Salsa Verde

It's Labor Day weekend and summer is nearing its end. But the market is still going strong. There's lots of great produce as well as seafood, meats and cheeses available for that last picnic or barbeque before school starts. Several vendors will not be at the market this week - Picklopolis, Lilly's BloomingAcres, Flamingo Ridge and Fressen.
See you on Sunday!

What's at the Market this week?
Cantaloupes and watermelons are still plentiful with several varieties available. Strawberries (selvas), blackberries and blueberries are still around and in good supply. Available tree fruit include apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, asian pears, pluots and plums.
As for vegetables, tomatoes and corn are still in good supply. A wide variety of pole beans will be available. Try a new variety this weekend. Peppers sweet and hot will be in good supply. Tomatillos will be readily available too. Some of the other vegetables you'll find this weekend include cucumbers, summer squashes, pole beans, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, beets, eggplant, lettuce, spinach and potatoes.
