HOLIDAY MARKET THIS SUNDAY DECEMBER 5

This Sunday is the Annual Holiday Market in Hillsdale co-sponsored by the Hillsdale Business and Professional Association. There will be musical performances by local school groups, a chili feed fundraiser for local music programs and an appearance by Santa. To help you with your holiday shopping needs, we're opening up our market to craft vendors on this date. Several vendors will be selling gift certificates as well.

WHAT'S IN SEASON
Fruits: Apples, Pears, Quince, Asian Pears, Persimmons
Vegetables: Beans, Beets, Carrots, Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Garlic, Greens (arugula, collards, escarole, mizuna, asian greens mix and more), Herbs (basil, parsley, tarragon, mint), Lettuce (romaine, green leaf, red leaf), Onions (sweet, red, bunching, scallions), Potatoes, Radishes, Salsify, Scorzerone, Shallots, Winter Squash (butternut, acorn, red kuri, sweet dumpling and delicata), pumpkins, hydroponic tomatoes, turnips (asian)
Wild Mushrooms: Chantarelle, Oyster, White and Black Truffles
Cultivated Mushrooms: Maitake, Shiitake
Meats: Beef, Lamb, Pork
Bakery: Baker & Spice, Market Fruit, Market Gourmet, Fressen
Beans: Borlotto Lamon, Tarbais, Maine Yellow Eye, Zolfino, China Yellow, Black Turtle.
Cheese: Fraga Farm, Oregon Gourmet Cheese
Nuts: Chestnuts, Filberts, Walnuts
Other: Pestos, Sauces, Soups, Eggs, Honey, Ornamental Gourds, Jams, Preserves, Pickled Vegetables, Coffee

Plus wreaths, perennials, cover crop seeds, gourds and bulbs.

VENDOR NOTES
Linda Brand Crab won't be at the market this week but will be back in two weeks with whole crab, oysters, salmon, smoked oysters and gift packs.
