What's coming to the market this week?

Produce-wise, greens such as chard, kale,spinach, arugula, and mustard greens will be in goodsupply as well as endives, escarole,chicory and field salad mix. Root vegetables (beets,carrots, celeriac, potatoes, onions, turnips) andwinter squashes will be in good supply as willbroccoli and cauliflower.

Many vendors will be bringing gift packs for your last minute holiday gift needs. Here are a few examples:

Vegetable Symposium

Clackamas Community College is holding its annual Vegetable Gardening Symposium on Saturday January 20th 2007. The symposium includes several workshops, seed sales, book sale and a panel discussion. New Items at the Market Booth

The market has many new items available. We have market bags, sweatshirts, short- and long-sleeved T shirts, aprons and hats available. We also have a beautiful 2007 calendar donated to the market by Ayers Creek Farm. Stop by the market booth and take a look!

The weekend's market is our fifth Hillsdale Holiday Market. The festivities will take place at the market's location in the Wilson-Rieke parking lot and the former Estby gas station, 6361 SW Capitol Hwy in Hillsdale where the Hillsdale Alliance is conducting a used book sale and and the Hillsdale Business and Professional Association is holding its annual Chili Feed fundraiser for local school music programs. Local school groups will perform throughout the day and we have craft vendors with seasonal gift items. It may be chilly but there's chili, hot cider, coffee and neighbors to keep you warm.

What's coming to the Market This Week?
Despite the cold weather, there is still a lot of produce available. Greens such as chard, kale, spinach, arugula, and mustard greens will be in good supply.
